Jones Falls Watershed Association
Started in 1997, Jones Falls Watershed Association is a volunteer-driven organization that was designed to protect and restore the Jones Falls and its tributaries. The Jones Falls watershed covers 58 square miles including segments of Baltimore County. Volunteers for JFWA participate in trash cleanups, water quality monitoring, buffer plantings and outreach.

Our Daily Bread
Our Daily Bread is an all volunteer and donor based organization that helps provide a meal to needy individuals, families, as well as persons with disabilities. Some of the donors and volunteers include generous individuals, churches, synagogues, schools, financial institutions, businesses, and civic groups. Whether they help serve the meals or make them, Our Daily Bread is made a success by these generous people.

Days End Horse Farm

A volunteer based animal welfare organization established in 1989 to ensure quality care and treatment of horses through rehabilitation, humane education and community outreach. This rescue and rehabilitation facility houses on average 50 to 60 horses at any one point in time. Volunteers assist with feeding, grooming and cleaning.



Herring Run Watershed Association

Non-profit dedicated to improving the environmental quality of the Herring Run watershed. VJC has participated in tree plantings, stream clean ups and trash picks in and around the watershed. In addition, VJC has participated twice in the annual Herring Run Celebration.



JH Children's House

A residence for children receiving medical care at Johns Hopkins and their families. The House serves as a center for educational, therapeutic and support groups within the community. Volunteers assist in cleaning the residence and meal preparation.



Maryland Food Bank

The only food bank serving the entire state, providing nearly 12 million pounds of food annually to more than 900 nonprofit community food providers. The Food Bank supplies the food for over 45,000 Marylanders each week. Volunteers assist in sorting food products for shipment.



Parks and Rec

Volunteers participate in park restorations in Baltimore City involving planting, weeding, trash clean ups, and trail maintenance.
